Burgundy Cooking Experience

Cook in Burgundy Cooking Classes

Imagine a hands-on, small group Cooking Class in an old Burgundy farmhouse where you prepare, cook and eat some traditional Burgundy and French country dishes.

Explore with them a typical French market, meeting the artisans who produce local cheeses, meats, vegetables and breads. Just absorb and inhale all those amazing aromas.

Are you keen to brush up on your basics or expand your entertaining cookery? Their hands-on course with the emphasis on enjoying cooking is just for you. With personal attention they create a class that give you confidence to repeat your successes at home.

They meet you in the Roman town of Autun around 9h00 to visit the marvelous fresh produce market. There you meet the artisans, taste different cheeses and select ingredients for the day. After a 15-minute drive to their home, Lynne runs through the menu, explaining what you are going to prepare and answer any questions.

All sessions are practical, as if you were preparing a meal back in your own home. You weigh, select, prepare and cook all the dishes and Lynne will demonstrate techniques, including how to use knives, etc. as you progress. Lynne will also give tips not generally found in cookery books. You cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients, herbs and use local produce. You will prepare a four-course meal including an aperitif, starter, main course and dessert. After cooking the meal, you will sit down to enjoy your hard-earned lunch which will also include cheese and, of course, Burgundy wine. Classes finish after lunch around 15h00.

A one-day Cooking Class with market visit (Wednesdays and Fridays) is 185 € per person and without market visit (Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays) is 175 € per person. Visit www.cookinburgundy.com  for more information.

Cook with confidence with Lynne!
